What is a lace hair closure?

The closure is a piece of hair that is sewn manually into a piece of lace. When it comes to the look, it is not so much different from a toupee for men. They are both used to cover the top part of one’s head; however, closures tend to be longer than the toupees.

Depending on the skin color of customers, there are quite several types of lace for closure 4×4. It can be white transparent lace for white women wigs, and light brown or dark brown for dark skin women. Also, there are also invisible and HD laces that are super thin that other people barely see them. These types of lace are more aesthetic and of course, they are more expensive.

The size of the closure depends on the size of the lace that you sew the hair into. In our factory, we are making 4×4 ones (4 inches in both width and length). There can also be closure 4.5×5.5 that we can make. You can also see a few types of customized lace closures, too.

What are the styles and colors of closure you can make? When it comes to style, you can have straight hair, wavy or curly hair closure. It can be middle parting or side parting and some even opt for three parting ones. While the styles are diverse enough, you can only make closures with one color or ombre colors.

Highlight colors and balayage closure are really hard to produce since all the process is done manually. If you have to allocate the highlight in an equal way, it takes huge time to finish a closure. As a result, there is little (or no) mix highlight closures in the market right now.

First of all, you have to consider the amount of hair you need for closure. At this step, you also need to come up with the length of the hair that you need it to be. Once you start sewing, there is no way you can take the hair back, so it is important to make it right at first. Technically, a closure often weighs from 30g to 35g including the lace (which is very light indeed).

After that, choose the type of lace that you think your potential customers will like. This time, you have to calculate who is your aimed customers and choose the lace that suits their skin. Then, decide which size of the closure you are going to make. For example, Be9hair makes 4×4 closures.

Then, start making a closure by position the lace into the head mannequin. After, sew the hair into the lace with a medium space among hair strands. Each strand of the hair must be tied into the lace right at a point of about 5cm under the hair root. If you sew the hair too close to the root, it will reveal itself when customers where the closures. 5cm is long enough to look natural as real human hair.

Do the process step by step until you cover all the hair in a 4x4inch space of the lace piece. If you want to make a parting of it, you can make it in this sewing process so that you don’t have to fix it later on.

First of all, you need to make some braiding lines. Just like sew in the weft hair, you also need to make sewing lines in order to sew the lace closure. The braid depends on where you want to apply the hair, but typically, you should make a line horizontally to your forehead hair. There should 3 – 4 lines of braiding in totally but the front horizontal one is the most important line. Other lines you can put anywhere you want to fix the closures with.

Then, you can wear a lace cap if you want. This step is not really obliged.

After the braiding, you can start sewing with the horizontal line you have made. The thread you use should be in the same color as the lace. You will sew the corners of the lace into the braided hair to position the lace first, and then sew in another part of the line.

Then, you can sew other braiding lines where the closure is placed by using a needle and a needle and thread. Do it until you think the closure is fixed tight enough into your braided hair.

Some people sew the closure right in the top of their hair while some do it in the side parts of their head. It depends on how you want to make parting and there is no problem with that. You just need to make sure your braid lines are made right where you want to place the closure and the closure is sewn incorrectly.

Typically, the machine weft hair has a pretty long line of weaving, you have to cut it down into small pieces, about 25cm to 35cm depending on the cap.

Keep sewing the weft hair at the backside of the cap until you finish it. That is how a wig is made. You can also find tutorial videos to see it clearly, too.
